HIP HIP GLOSSIER

Glossier Opened Its Seattle Location in Capitol Hill

10th Ave just got a whole lot prettier.

Glossier's pink and white storefront.

It's even more beautiful than we imagined.

Seattle is obsessed with Glossier (but who isn't?). When the beauty brand popped up in the former American Apparel location on Capitol Hill in 2019, lines of fresh-faced devotees waited 45 minutes to get their hands on impeccably designed tubes of Boy Brow and Balm Dotcom.

Soon, we'll have more than just a few sweet summer months to get our fill: After shuttering all its retail locations amid the pandemic, Glossier has planned a three-store revival starting at 1514 10th Ave in Capitol Hill at 11am on Friday, August 20, 2021, with one of its largest IRL shopping locations to date.

In a blog post announcing the news, Glossier founder Emily Weiss said the Seattle store design "plays with the juxtaposition of nature and technology" inspired by the city's "forests and lakes"—the 6,200 square foot interior even contains design elements like boulders, mossy hills, and mushroom details (leave it to a beauty company to make that pretty). The storefront, though, is pure, unadulterated Glossier: cream-colored brick accented by ice cream shop pink.

Which seems appropriate, given that you'll soon be able to head down the street to Molly Moon's for a Glossier-inspired flavor during the store's first month in Seattle. What better distraction for waiting in those grand-opening lines?
